Painted bedside cupboard - available

This neat little Edwardian bedside cupboard has been painted in Laura Ashley's paper white with a french grey base and interior. The paint has been knocked back a little in places, especially on the carved door. The carved top has suffered a little damage in the past, but this is barely noticeable and goes with the charm.

This little wooden box opens to the left and has a little shelf inside. It is modern, but we've painted it in a Farrow & Ball taupe and knocked it back a little to give it a rustic look. Perfect as a small kitchen herb cupboard or on a bathroom wall

Gorgeous oak desk - available

This fantastic, solid oak desk is a joy to work at. It would be perfect for a teenage child's bedroom or a home office. It has a good drawer, and a cupboard with a couple of deceptively deep shelves. We've had it for years, and are in two minds as to whether to move it on or to keep it for one of our own kids! Can't see that we'll get a better one in future...

Painted candle-box - available

This curious little painted box has a sloping flip-top lid, and two little drawers. It could be useful for bits and bobs in a bedroom, or for keys and other odds and ends on a hall table. Or you might just use it as a candlebox, which is what we think it is.

This stock wooden kitchen chair has been painted in a duck-egg blue and rubbed back just a little. Perfect as part of a harlequin set, or as a stand alone seat at a desk or dressing-table.

Antique hat stand - available

This old mahogany hat stand is a perfect piece for a family entrance hall. It stands about 6'6", and has eight hooks and hangers. There are a few old worm-holes around a couple of the feet, but these have been treated twice and the wood is perfectly solid. We were tempted to paint the hat stand, but decided it was probably best as it is. If you think differently, let us know...

Painted and washed side-table - no longer available

This beautiful little table needed some serious TLC when we got it!! We've replaced the top with new pine, which we then white-washed and waxed. One of the feet was damaged, so its gone and been replaced. After that we just freshened up the duck-egg paintwork, so now she's ready to brighten-up any little spot...

We also have a much larger, but essentially similar kitchen side-table coming soon.

Tall chicken-wired and curtained cupboard - no longer available

This tall painted cupboard has a chicken-wired door backed by a ruffled curtain in a Cath Kidston fabric. Inside it has three solid shelves, and is painted in Laura Ashley's chalk pink white. There's a nice little drawer at the bottom. If you like your storage to come with style, then this one's for you!

Three wooden candle-stands - no longer available

We call these old carved columns 'candle-stands' as they're perfect for church candles, but we suspect that they are in fact old wig-stands (!).

However you want to use them, they are all delicately carved and a rich golden colour. They are available individually, or as a set of three. The tallest is 15"; the next 12", and the smallest one is 6". They are all around 4" square.

Rustic dining table - no longer available

Purchased years ago at Black Dog Antiques in Bungay, Suffolk, this dining table is a solid piece of country kitchen or dining furniture. The five plank top is of oak or old pine; the legs are stained dark. We've had this in the family home for years and have had the top bare and covered in a pretty oilcloth. Either way, its been a centrepiece of family life.
